Stephanie Ruanto

"Every moment is a fresh beginning." - T.S. Eliot

Stephanie is a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience in mental health treatment. Stephanie understands that it can be overwhelming to seek treatment. Asking for help is a tough decision for many people and trusting a therapist with their personal feelings and information is often anxiety-producing. Stephanie offers support and a listening ear as her patients find relief from the burdens of emotional distress. Her goal is to foster growth in her patients so they can find solutions to improve their quality of life.

Stephanie has worked extensively with adults seeking help for a variety of mental health issues including depression, and anxiety. She takes a special interest in treating mood and anxiety disorders. Stephanie has an eclectic treatment approach, which allows her to tailor each session to the patient’s preferences and personality. She typically relies on a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered theory. Stephanie has been providing therapy since 1988 and works with all patients over 18.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys gardening, reading, watching old movies, and spending time with her family. She was born and raised in Kentucky, is a dog-lover at heart, and is never a stranger to a good bookstore or coffee shop.
